Burfii Content Delivery Network (CDN) makes the media viewing on mobile devices inside local/intercity buses/cabs and trains easier, faster and cheaper compared to existing mediums of entertainment on the move. Burfii CDN acts as a local server inside a moving vehicle, delivering content over the local WiFi. Users can browse the content over WiFi without spending money on internet usage. Our system consists of a software to manage and encrypt the dynamic content and hardware that supports more than 20 simultaneous mobile device users. The proof-of-concept for hardware and software is ready for demonstration. Currently we are targeting frequent travelers in the buses/trains/cabs in India where the smartphone/tablet users are wary of mobile-internet usage due to high cost, and connectivity issues in long distance travel.
