Our business is enabling access to sustainable technologies, including small scale solar lighting & improved cookstoves. We achieve this through two principle product offerings Firstly, we train local Indian entrepreneurs to manage their own social business aimed at poor, urban communities in India. These communities would otherwise have no access to these technologies. However our distribution model makes the technology affordable & Pollinate energy and the entrepreneurs are fully accountable to the customer to ensure the products are fulfilling their purpose. We also work with our communities to better understand their evolving needs, so that they always have access to the right products for them. Secondly we run three types of programs throughout the year for students & young professionals from around the world to learn about the challenge of energy poverty and support our entrepreneurs. The programs create an international network of supporters & provide upfront capital funds.
